Actually the Venus Project is founded on the scientific method. It’s not a barter system.
We’re not promoting labor without monetary compensation. We’re promoting getting machines to do the labor, so people can be free to pursue their passions. For some people, that’s advancing technololgy. I work with a guy who’s passionate about programming, but he has to get through college, requiring him to have money, requiring him to have a job that interferes with his time. Now THAT is flawed.
@ChelevSaRa Now, I’m not against moving forward. But, the zeitgeist is WAY WAY WAY too flawed. Who the fuck would work on the computers, the devices or help anyone without payment? And say you go around, help everyone and barter with goods, now your goods are currency that you can trade for more stuff. Thus defeating the whole movement behind the venus project.
