They were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned for their fellow men. Pretty plain there!

The fact of the matter is if a gay relationship makes you happy. If my boyfriend makes mr feel loved then he must be good. I think conservative Christians try to tell them their sexuality is just “feelings” and it’s just a phase. They try to shift the basis of a good heterosexual relationship from love for one another to child reproduction to condemn homosexuality when that’s not right because love is the basis of any relationship. Not children.

And science will fail at demonstrating the reality of the spiritual world and the ultimate questions about our existence, the origin of the universe, etc. It is not a sufficient tool/measuring stick to determine the answer to these larger questions.

And next time a plane is hurling through the air toward the Hudson River you can stand up and tell everyone to stop praying because theyre wasting their time. Me, I’ll keep talking to God. :D

    Peter 3:8:
“Do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.”
I take this passage to mean that God is outside of time. He is not subject to it in any way. Instead He is the MASTER of it and of all things. For God a “day” could be a million years…a billion years. A blink of an eye and a generation passes for Him.
And God is far more sophisticated than our “science”.
    Isaiah 5:21

Wow. Nice assumptions anonymo. I wasnt raised to believe much of anything. My mother took us to church a little but beyond that there was no training. As an adult I started thinking about a “missing” part of me a lot. It wasnt that many years ago that I decided to believe in something higher than me and my life. If you dont believe in anything higher thats your choice but my take is that your world view is a self-centered one.

You’re still trying reduce “hapiness” and “joy” to mere feelings as if they were comparable to sexual satisfaction. They’re not. I know a good boyfriend will make me happy if he were good to me. Same as a heterosexual community. It wouldn’t hurt anyone nor myself. I wouldn’t have sex with him for mere sexual pleasure but to express my love for him. The foundation of love is sex.

“Desires” must be within what he sanctions as holy and appropriate behavior Anima. You cant just do anything you want.

    “…did detestable things before me.”
MrB, (how are you, sir?) What were those detestable things God mentioned?

    Anima,
We have no guarantee of a happy life here and we are not entitled to one. Answer me, why would God say this?:
    John 12:25
“The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.”
