bravo Sr Escalante !!! i felt the same way too on my first years of teaching. I still make mistakes and i let my students know it. so that they will know that we are human too. No matter how hard it takes to prepare I still find enjoyment in relating with the younger set. If only one or two will stand out I am already happy-they inspire me to continue to share my life experiences. – victor vibal ( a teacher from the Philippines)
we need more teachers like this man god dammit the teachers now a days hate their jobs that says that they themselves were stupid in school and became teachers cuz they though it was better they can kiss my ass
Mr. Escalente visited our city about 5 years ago….and only a few were allowed to meet him…unfortunately I wasn’t one of the students selected…but he still remains as one of my top 5 idols……..he’s inspired me to major in education and want to become a teacher…i start college this fall
I saw a documentary on Mr. Escalante in my high school math class. My teacher reminded me so much of him. She was very upbeat and made math understable. She liked him too.
